Over the top

Issue description:

I am trying to buy software in a way where I buy a license key and I punch that license key into the software and it does a validation of the key (preferably not every single fucking time I launch the app, preferably failing gracefully if it is unable to connect to the network for a few days) and that’s it - that’s the process.

There’s not appear to be a way to do that for this piece of software. It seems that it wants everything tied to a Google account, which is not how I want things. I’m not interested in emailing somebody to get a license activated on every device that I use. I’m interested in software behaving in a normal manner - you buy software, you get key, you enter key, you are done.

I would appreciate further information on this.

As an aside, the process where I have to upload logs to make a post is completely fucking ridiculous - my logs have nothing to do with this post and it’s really stupid that I had to go fucking make them and turn onto the debug mode to do it so I could post this message.

The app is annoying enough with the way that it uses a highly annoying Android feature where…when I go to manage the storage of the app(because I wanted to run the first time setup experience again when I was trying to diagnose a Plex related problem) it takes me to this stupid screen that about five apps use where the option to just nuke data/cache is not present. I had an uninstall and reinstall the fucking app because of this. Why the fuck are you using that feature, nothing other than trash ass Meta apps use it. God damn it. Why do no normal people with normal values and normal practices make clients for playing music off of a network device?

Additional information:

No.

Reproduction steps:

Open the app. Get immediately assigned a trial identifier that is displayed to the user. Look for a place to punch in a license key and fail to find one

Media provider:

Plex

Screenshots:

You seems like a very nice person

  1. There’s a discussion part for discussions.

  2. If you had read a little you’d know that THIS IS BECAUSE OF THE FUCKING GOOGLE MONOPOLY THAT PREVENT ME DO DO ANYTHING IF I DO NOT WANT TI BE BANNED PERMANENTLY.

  3. For the manage cache, the app offline cache very large amount of data when wanted by user and they forget that clearing app data remove all that. So it was added after too many users errors

Nevermind, I am no longer interested in having anything to do with this developer. Post deleted, app deleted.

The developer is extremely rude and I don’t want anything to do with people like that - I don’t want to rely on that kind of person.

There is no rule against ‘distributing an APK and letting people punch in a key’. You just choose not to.

Ho it’s you the latest dumb bad rating

Yes there is actually a rule that prevent me to do that of I only distribute on Play Store, of course you need to actually read and document yourself and not think you have some magic wisdom

There’s many many lawsuits and government acting to force Google to allow selling outside of Google, I guess they do that for the fun …

Anyway you confirmed what a nice person you are with the bad rating before even having my answer here

So pathetic.

You are a miserable person. I hope that whatever causes you the amount of pain and anger eventually subsides, as other people are forced to interact with you in their lives and no one deserves the abuse you hand out on a routine basis.

Gave you the one star you deserve.

Leaving already ?

To resume you post an insanely aggressive message here complaining about your own posting on the wrong section amongst other things.

Then bad rated on the Play Store before even my answer here.

Yet you still think I’m the problem ? You are so out of reality, you act like a POS, assault people and complain there’s a reaction?

The world have really gone mad …

And it’s fun that you finish with “Gave you the one star you deserve.” When you actually bad rated before any actual interaction with me …

Even more fun

I assaulted the dev with a bad rating that breaks the Google Play rules, but I hope the dev is blamed for that

People really lives on alternate reality…

well that was entertaining…. OP seems very well adjusted :laughing::laughing::laughing: when was the last time you bought software that used a key for license activation? ESPECIALLY from an app store, jfc.

Buddy’s so unstable and high off his own rage farts that no one had the chance to tell him to just hide the notification about google play services being unavailable….. you’ll need to have the play store enabled maybe once a month(?) to re-activate the license… and it will keep working fine in between. If you hide the notification, you won’t even know the difference.

But…. cya, I guess. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out lmfao

Dudes probably like 14 years old, at most.

every single time. people LOVE pretending to be the victim

what i always find funny is, tolriq usually starts with sarcastic but normal replies (as can be seen in the first reply here as well), will then go on offense anywhere between 2nd to 4th reply (depending on the person) if the person on the other end is rude, meanwhile people be complaining he’s rude from the beginning for being direct

This interaction pattern cracks me up, and i come to the play store thread hoping for a daily dose of entertainment
