Feature description
Often, an artist has other credits across various releases for instruments, writer, producer, etc. These details are often kept in a songs metadata. A few months ago LMS introduced a way to connect those roles with an artist through adding mbzids for those credits in the files tags:
They also set it up so these other credits are organized together in the “appears on” section, so the connected mbids dont crowd the “albums” “singles” etc sections. (screenshots attached below).
It would be amazing to have this same system carried over in symfonium.
Problem solved
It would greatly expand the connections an artist has across releases in a library. Provide interesting information when searching through a collection. And also vastly neaten up all those random composer credits that currently sort of match other artists in your library.
Brought benefits
The benefits are cleaned up library. right now, you might search “Bob Dylan” and find Bob Dylan the artist with mbzid, and Bob Dylan the name in various composer credits. With this update from LMS, it now reads a musicbrainz_compiserid tag that can match it with Boy Dylan’s artist mbzid. Now all his composer credits are in their own section under “Appears On”. Organized and easy to find.

Additional description and context
Attached are two examples showing what it looks like for me under Brandi Carlile and Bob Dylan.
Now, as long as i add the appropriate tags to my files, I can find what songs Eric Clapton performed on, outside of the known bands he was in.
Thanks for considering this.
