I would like to request an option to embed downloaded synchronized lyrics directly into the metadata tags of audio files.
Because of this limitation, I still have to keep secondary player (oto Music) installed solely to handle embedding synchronized lyrics into my media tags. Having this natively in Symfonium would make it a truly all-in-one local library manager.
Problem solved
Currently, Symfonium is excellent at fetching and displaying synchronized lyrics, but it does not write or embed them back into the source audio files. Because of this limitation, I am forced to keep secondary music players installed on my device solely to handle embedding synchronized lyrics into my media tags. This creates unnecessary friction and splits my library management workflow across multiple apps.
Brought benefits
- Consolidates the Workflow: Eliminates the need to jump to external apps or third-party tag editors just to bake lyrics into local files.
- Library Portability & Permanence: Once lyrics are embedded directly into the file’s metadata tags (like SYLT for MP3, or SYNCEDLYRICS for FLAC), they stay with the files permanently. If the files are backed up, moved, or read by other software, the synced lyrics remain intact and independent of Symfonium’s internal cache.
