Feature description:
There should be an option in the SMB share file browser (folder structure) to cache an entire folder including subfolders for offline use. This would allow browsing the folder structure and playing cached content while offline. Ideally, the offline cache would automatically update when files are added or deleted on the SMB share. (This feature might also be useful for WebDAV.)
Problem solved:
Currently, it’s only possible to export the whole folder and then re-add internal storage as a media source. However, this is inconvenient. Also, albums often appear twice in Symfonium because both the SMB share and internal storage are set as media sources. Users with media libraries that have incomplete or missing metadata must use the file browser to play media, since browsing by album or artist doesn’t work.
Brought benefits:
This feature would save a lot of time for users who organize their media libraries by folders instead of metadata.
