Unable to browse folders for local USB drive on Android TV

Issue:
I have connected a physical USB drive containing music files directly to my Android TV. When adding it as a local media provider, Symfonium does not show any folder or file browsing options. The library view only displays metadata categories, and I cannot find a way to navigate my files by their actual directory structure.

Environment:

Device: Android TV

Storage: Locally connected external USB drive

Goal: Browse and play music files using the exact folder structure present on the USB drive.

Please advise on the steps required to enable folder/file browsing for this local storage setup

Steps to Reproduce:

Connect a physical USB drive containing music folders to the Android TV.

Open Symfonium and navigate to Settings > Manage Media Providers.

Select Add Media Provider (the “+” plus icon).

Look at the available provider types list; “Android / Local Device” is completely missing from the options.

Sorry not possible as Google did not give the right to use the full permission and most TVs do not include SAF.

We are able to use folder function on same TV using other 3rd part application like vlc etc.

What is restricting this application, is there any work around?

I just told you … They have the MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission that is at Google discretion to give or not.
