Feature description:
First, I’m really enjoying the new UI… album pages, especially, are a lot better. I would, however, like to see more options available for buttons that can be added to the album page. Mainly, I would like a button to add the album to a playlist, and also a button for the cache controls. Ultimately, it would be great if the user could choose to add a button for most tasks that are in the overflow menu. But, for me, those two would be the most useful.
I definitely don’t think that ALL options should be on by default… and perhaps there should even be a limit to the amount of buttons available(?), tho I don’t necessarily think it’s the end of the world if a user chooses to cutter up their own UI. Personally, I use the small buttons, centered. On my device, I would estimate that there’s probably room for 4 or 5 more buttons without needing to scroll them horizontally (7 or 8 total).
Perhaps the way to implement this would be to allow for 3 or so “custom buttons” that could be added, which the user would then be prompted to choose the function that they would represent.
Problem solved:
Allow for more customization of the buttons available on album pages, and allow quicker access to each individual user’s frequently used tasks in the overflow menu. It would allow me to add albums to playlists with fewer clicks, and would allow me to manually cache albums with fewer clicks.
Brought benefits:
More customization and easier access to frequently used tasks.
