Issue description
Using the stable version of Symfonium
Sometimes when track changes either automatically or manually, the media session artwork still displays the previous track’s artwork, while still updating the accent/extracted colour to the new one. This happens commonly.
I saw the previous thread and this is distinct to that one I believe - it is not just when they share an album, it can be completely unrelated tracks.
From Googling around, this is an Android 13 bug, not Symfonium’s fault. I see that other players have imlemented a workaround though, and would be grateful if you could do the same, as my phone has no software updates beyond this version of Android.
I believe a workaround is stated on the last post of this thread ( Google Issue Tracker ). Hopefully it will work correctly. It definitely seems possible to figure out if not as other players have gotten around it.
Apologies if this is already covered under the beta fixes.
I have uploaded a video showing this. The video also shows a separate bug that occurs, where the album art is loaded in very low resolution in the media session (this can happen even if it successfully updated to the ‘correct’ image). I will make a separate bug report about that, but from googling previously that seems to be something that was fixed in a Media3 update, so hopefully will be fixed by your update anyway!
