Lyrics are not refreshing after said lyrics were updated on Jellyfin server

Issue description

I had improperly synced lyrics on my Jellyfin server so I replaced them, after that I attempted to re-sync Symfonium to fetch the properly synced lyrics, which it doesn’t. The media is not cached offline, I do not download files for offline use. This does not happen in other music players I’ve used.

  3. See that lyrics are not updated

You need to tell me actually what lyrics you changed and the actual content of the lyrics that is wrong. I can’t guess what is good or not.

With that said you are using playback cache so if the lyrics are inside the tracks, you need to clear it in advanced settings.

The lyrics for the song “Lazy” by “The Living Tombstone” were changed to edit the timestamps for the syncing of the lyrics as they were wildly offset by up to two lyric lines.

As for the playback cache, I was unaware of that, most other music players I use don’t include metadata like that in temporary caches alongside audio, or if they do they can be manually refreshed very quickly from the “Now Playing” UI.

Provide new logs and the exact thing you changed what value is the correct, what was wrong.

No, sorry, not necessary, as it turns out my Jellyfin server went over my manually overridden lyrics and replaced them with the incorrect ones again.

Not sure how considering this goes against literally every software rule I’ve set for it, but this should be easily remedied.

You were correct with the first answer that it was the playback cache, I just didn’t update it in time for the correct lyrics to be fetched.
