Currently I am unable to see lyrics when local media provider is selected and the .lrc is present.
The same structure works in Jellyfin and other players.

Are using the Android Media Store and not the normal mode, the wizard warn you to use the proper mode 
Remove the provider and add it again correctly.
Correct, I am using the Android Media Provider as it wouldnt allow me to select anything else.
I have removed and added ot several times to no avail.
The other choice is always present unless you are using the Android TV version.
Hello, could you clarify what you mean?
I am using the Android app, not TV.
If I try and use the non-android provider option, it will not let me use this option saying only Android is available when using the Android app.

You have installed the APK for Android TV not the APK for phones.

On another system I have installed the app directly from the google play store and have the same issue, I will work to upload those logs as well.
