Last song doesn't play on startup

Issue description

randomly: sometimes when reentering car, the song which was previously played isn’t played anymore. The progress bar sometimes shows the start of the song, sometimes the position where it got stopped. Pressing “play” button on the car screen has no effect. When opening UI, the play icon has orange tint, and pressing it also has no effect. Skipping to next song fixes the playback, but of next song.

In the log, the timestamp of this was at 18:40

But sometimes it works correctly.

Steps to reproduce

  1. get into car (speakers connected to phone via bluetooth)
  2. start listening to music
  3. turn car off while a song was playing
  4. at some point later, turn car on again

Your files are marked as available offline but are actually no more available. Are they on an SDCard ?

they originate from navidrome, and should be cached. I haven’t removed them myself

Could this be a race with the smart playlist rules you helped me configure a while ago?

Is it possible that the song started to be played, so was not in the playlist anymore, and “auto offline rules” eagerly removed it from cache?

Yes if it’s marked played and the app is restart sync occurs.

Why the “rolling cache” doesn’t preserve them?
