How to manage duplicate Jellyfin connections?

App version

Production

Issue description

I have a Jellyfin server on my NAS, which also has Tailscale. I am able to add both versions of the Jellyfin server (local and Tailscale), but thus creates duplicates of everything in my music library within Symfonium. Is there any way to tell Symfonium to treat both of these connections as the same thing? Or maybe a better way to get the same result?

Device type

Phone

Media provider

Jellyfin

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a Jellyfin connection to the local server (e.g. 192.168…)
  2. Create a Jellyfin connection to the server’s IP over Tailscale (e.g. 100…)
  3. See duplicate albums, artists, tracks, etc.

Add a secondary connection to only one or use global filter to switch provider visibility.

What does “add a secondary connection to only one” mean? For the second part, where do I create that global filter?

It means exactly what it says, do not add 2 providers, edit one and add the secondary connection there. And see the docs for the global filter.

:person_facepalming: Totally missed the secondary connection. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
