Hardware previous button not working

Issue description:

I’m using a Hiby R6 III (Android 12) which has some hardware buttons. All of them work fine, except for the previous button. Holding the previous button also doesn’t do anything.

I think the control mapping is under the Headset button menu in Playback options if I understand the documentation. The next and previous buttons are both configured accordingly. I’ve also verified that they work in the Hiby music app to rule out a hardware failure. I’ve also tried Button Mapper Pro to add a previous button to the hardware, but that didn’t work either. So maybe it’s not just a Symfonium issue.

Could you take a look at this? Anyway, love the work you’ve done and I’ve gladly purchased the app before the trial expired. Hopefully this will help you make it perform even better.

Can you try to remap the previous button to something else in the settings and see if it works ?

Hey, thanks for the quick reply.

The other functions seem to work OK. At first it registered the presses twice, but that went away when I disabled the previous key in the other button remapper app. Do you want me to upload the debug log again?

No that confirm that it’s an Hiby bug that does not send the proper events for that button …

Will add a workaround to force remap previous to previous for bugged devices like yours.

Should still be fixed by them.
