Figure out Smart functions

Hello I’m new here. I’ve set up Symfonium + Navidrome + AMA. And I can’t find the workflow I used to with other streamings. In the car I usually just pressed something like “Play something I would like” and it played something I like. But now I need to find a seed song first, then manually set up on Smart Queue or Radio Mix (I know there’s an option to remember Radio Mix settings but then if I occasionaly want to listen some album or playlist I need to turn off Radio Mix as it inserts songs in the middle of an playlist).

As I already understood (correct me if i’m wrong please):

  1. Instant Mix takes a seed item and feeds it to Symfonium’s Mix Generator. The generator thows a whole bunch of similar music to the current music and that’s it. It’s not infinite so you have to press it now and then. No API required, pretty understandable concept.
  2. Smart Queue automatically and constantly throws music to the end of playlist according to the previous music and Smart Queue Mode (genre/artist etc). BUT when selected mode is “Sonic-analysis-based” it uses AMA. Pretty understandable too. No problems here.
  3. Radio MIx. It uses AMA and seems to dynamically add music to the current playlist (not necessarily to the end) accordingly to the mode. And it also can act like a Smart Queue if configured in specific way. Feels like boosted Smart Queue.

So please tell me if it is possible to have a separate button like “Play something I would like” that uses AMA to dynamically generate current playlist (based on songs I liked and songs I did/didn’t skip in this session) and also have all these functions disabled when I want to listen whole album/playlist (maybe Smart Queue enabled to continue with similar music after song/playlist is over)? I ask because now It’s kinda frustrating: when I’m driving I need to distract and set up the features properly for the session or constantly skip music that unfits the current vibe.

Thank you!

P.S. I’m sorry if that’s a stupid question with a trivial sollution but I don’t really catch on all these options in the app. I tried honestly.

This is unfortunately not possible.. (yet). Audiomuse does not keep track of what songs have been skipped at all to my knowledge, although technically possible.

I have sort of circumvented the said issue, by create radio playlists using song alchemy in the Audiomuse dashboard, and, having them scheduled to my liking. You can import these playtlists to symfonium “online first” and the changes will get picked up automatically according to the schedule you set. So you could have a playlist name -

“Fast driving” , and set up the alchemy on AM with tracks and vectors you like.
