EON (custom theme)

I call it EON.

“Listen Now”. I didn’t want to leave the spot empty, so I just made a “Listen Now” text/logo using the"SF Pro Display" font, looks like the one on Apple Music, sort of.

Track Mix, Decade Mix and Album Mix are great default options, I’m actually using them pretty often, though I’d like to change the icons, it’s not possible.

Favorite Artists section/carousel. I like how it looks and it’s useful for me.

Artist page so far:

I don’t really like it yet, it’s far from ideal, but it does the job and I can’t do anything with it yet.

Quick menu section.

It’s basically Favorite Playlists option on the main page, but it’s useful and reminds me of Spotify a bit.

So the sections/playlists I have and the rules:

“New” - Date Added - “Within 30”

“Recents” - No rules, Sort By - Last Played, Max Item Count - 100

“Liked” - Favorite - “Is True”

“No Skips” - Played Percentage - “greater than 95”, Play Count - “greater than 8” (I don’t have enough data yet, so 8 is enough for me right now)

“Peak” - User rating - “Is 10”. Sort by play count.

“Peak Albums” - Albums playlist. User rating - “is 10”. Favorite - “is true” (though it’s optional). Sort by play count.

“Repeat” no rules. Sorted by play count. Max item limit - 100.

“Deep Cuts” - user rating - “greater than 8”, favorite - “is true” (optional), Play Count - “greater than 10” (you should probably adjust it for yourself), Last Played - “over 25”. Last Played - “Is present”. Sorted by random.

All the icons are random, I didn’t make mine yet, so I’m just using the random ones.
Playlist pages:

Second section of the main page.

These are the smart playlists (albums) added to the home page.

“Recently added” - Date Added - “over 7”

“Last Played” - Last Played - “is present.” Sorted by last played. Max item count - 25.

“Rediscover” - Sorted by random, max item count - 25. Also Last Played - “is present” can be added to make it really “rediscover”, I just wanted random albums to show up.

These options are already among default ones, but I wanted to rename them so I made smart playlists instead.

Third section.

Top Albums are just play count rule (play count - “greater than 10”, or more)

Then the shortcuts and the internet radio, I do listen to them now and then, also looks nice.

I tried to create something like daily mixes the streaming have, haven’t figured it out yet, but I’m using a smart playlist with, Last played - “over 7”, to show up a songs from a week ago, User rating - “greater than 8”, so only good songs would appear, skip count - “less than 10”, Last played - is present rules, so no random stuff.

Album page so far:

UPD.

I haven’t finished it yet, but if someone needs a white theme, to approximately look like Apple Music:

Thank you very much. And thanks for your comment.

I must be dumb but i can’t seem to get the second section (Recently added, Last played etc.,) of the main page even after creating the playlists myself manually. Am i supposed to do anything else?

You have to add the playlist to the Home Page. Navigate to the playlist, click the three-dots menu button, then look for the house icon labeled “Add to home page”

After that, you can customize it further in Settings > Interface > Home page > (Your playlist name) at the very bottom

Looks really clean! Probably the only full theme that looks this good.

Oh, thanks man. It’s pretty nice coming from you, you’re making the amazing ones yourself, so thank you too.

That’s where you are wrong! I didn’t want to tell you this before cause I though it sounded rude, but you did this theme by yourself and this theme will always be 100 times better than what I’ll publish.
I just take the time to replicate already made designs, that’s easy (as you probably know after playing around with the settings).
You made an original theme that looks sick! I’ll probably never get to this level, but I’m happy you did and I hope we can both benefit from the new beta that Tolriq gave us (That is still stuck in Google Play Limbo… Thanks Google)

Nah, don’t even argue, man. Haha.

No, look, me as well, I also used already made designs from this forum, changed something to like it better, to adjust for myself, I even downloaded yours and they’re really great and it’s all very helpful, like I believe the string that shows song quality, it might be yours, so thanks. I was just looking for a better player for offline music and found out about this one and it’s been great so far, especially because of the people like you, so thanks again, it’s actually pretty fun to customize it all, changing stuff, sharing, I’m loving it. And yeah, the new update is probably gonna be cool, more possibilities.

And it’s actually cool, when I think of it, I used your theme first, then you said you like mine, I mean it’s cool. It’s cool when people make more designs and stuff like that.

That string wasn’t mine to begin with xD It should be from a NPS, and then the Fluid Rock UI made me notice that I could remove the “FLAC” text, and then I made it like the Apple Music One.

I wanted to compliment you for the Smart Playlists! Something that I may steal if Apple Music/Tidal does, but at the end of the day, we all take a piece from each other, and that’s good. This would be a pretty dope theme to have in the default app.

This is what Tolriq wants from the community, other than new features and bugs.

And that’s actually amazing, yeah.

* And I found out about that string from you, so thanks anyway. And you’re right it’s how it works, people using stuff, changing, creating something new and it keeps going, so your themes actually were great and they helped me a lot, so thanks. Haha

Yeah, I read the logs for the new update, it’s probably gonna be big, I’d like to rework this theme too then, it’s far form being enough, you know

Very nice theme, its one of my favorite ones I have seen posted on here. I am just tinkering with it to make it fit my personal preferences, and I realize that my “Daily Mix” and actually all my “Mix” section on the home page are empty. Maybe not the right place to ask this, but how do I get mixes into those sections?? I would assume they are automatically generated from my library, but I don’t see anything…

This is the rules I have for my daily mixes stuff, maybe you just don’t have enough data to be shown, try to adjust those numbers, maybe I’d help.

I’d try to set the user rating tag to lesser number, or maybe you haven’t rated your songs at all, so it doesn’t show anything.

Normally, I’d just try to adjust the different rules until you have something shown. When it works and it’s on the main page, you’d see a banner on the home page:

I currently have a lot of songs there, but If I’d listen to all of them today, the banner would completely disappear from the main page, because it can’t be shown when the playlist is empty, but it would appear again when got enough data. There’s a Last Played rule, so probably it means that it’d get new songs every day.
