Issue description

I was toying with the erlc lyrics and found this weird bug: Still Alive (J.C Mix) lyrics have no spaces, but when copying the content to the Still Alive normal version, it appears with spaces. The screenshots are from the emby server, but I uploaded the files via with “LyricsNoWords” as a description.

The original file was in cache, so I tried deleting it to force a server pull. It did not update either. I removed the elrc metadata from the file and check emby detected it. When emby showed the song had no lyrics, I synced symfonium again, and the lyrics were still there (without cache).

As a bit of context, I was testing the syllable function and instead of actually syncing the syllables I just removed the spaces between the words. It stayed like this for a few months. Today, I tried to revert it to normal, but it didn’t sync. To test if it was an elrc problem (I’m quite unexperienced with those), I copied the new elrc to another song, and it updated fine, the words appeared separated, everything correct. But the Still Alive (J.C Mix) one, still has the words without spaces.

I uploaded two logs: “LyricsNoWords”, with just syncing and reproducing both songs, and “LyricsNoWords_extended”, modifying the song, to check if it updates.

How have you removed the file from the cache ?

I removed it from favorites, and as it does not have any other rule, I assumed it deleted automatically. It did not (or it took too long), so I deleted it manually a minute later. Now the app shows that is not cached.

If I try to play it without internet, it doesn’t start, and it shows no lyrics. However, when I enable the wifi again, the wrong subtitles appear. I uploaded logs of this behavior as “LyricsNoSpaces_internet”

Ok and if you cache the file again it does not fix ?

Nope, still appeared the subtitles. I uploaded new logs as “LyricsNoSpaces_download”. I downloaded the song and then added it to favorites. Still the same subtitles, even though the subtitles on emby where different. Then i deleted it again, removed the subtitles via musicbee, synced symfonium once the change appeared on emby and downloaded again. The subtitles didn’t update.

So yes the cached value still prevail, don’t know why but will ensure it’s properly cleaned up in next release when you remove from offline cache.
