Just adding a little info for comparison:
For me (with local media), the change is not instant either but the delay I notice is not an issue. I am hearing only about one second from tapping the button to the speed change. (Just a short moment after the sliding animation ends.)
Does the song stop playing before the end of the actual audio? Or is it simply ending before the “current time” matches the “duration” of the track?
For me, it is the latter. The audio track always correctly plays to the end of the track. But the player progress doesn’t match the actual position in the track.
If you play a track from start to end at 3.0x… the player progress exceeds the duration by ~3x
(Correct track duration is 3:08, playback ended at ~9:08) ![]()
But again: for me, this is a visual error only. The audio track plays correctly and the player correctly goes to the next track only once the audio has ended.
