Feature description:
Introduce a compact album header in the album page, where the album cover is to the left of the page, with album information to the right of that cover (see screenshots from Pulsar Music Player). Condense more information at the top of the page so more room is left for the track list.
Problem solved:
The immediate need to scroll down to view an album’s track list which feels clunky. This scroll down action gets tiresome rather quickly when you’re browsing through albums to see the tracks, and removing the album thumbnail all together makes the page look rather bland.
Brought benefits:
- Utilize screen real estate more effectively
- Reduce the need for scrolling
- Less jarring when going from for example the album list to the album page, because the pages will have more similarity
