Choose export folder

Feature description:

When exporting a playlist to local storage for use by other applications, allow selecting custom folder.

Problem solved:

The playlist I’m exporting is too large for the available space in downloads and I’m immediately moving the files to a USB connected media player anyhow. It would save a few steps if I could export directly to the USB connected device (that shows up as mass storage).

Brought benefits:

Greater flexibility, fewer post export steps by clients (some of us anyhow).

Other application solutions:

Would also love to export to a specific folder on my android device (in my case the external SD-card on my device). If there is a work around I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thxs!

When you export a playlist is your “share menu” not automatically prompted? When I go to export playlists immediately I’m given a list of apps to choose from & if I select a file managing app I can choose the location where the playlist gets saved. This would solve your issue, no?

Symfonium uses the word “export" in at least two places for different tasks. One to export an m3u8 playlist file (opening the share menu you’re seeing) and another to cache/download/export the actual music files for use by other players. This latter export option is the one I’m using and does not open the share menu.

Same here my good fellow, the latter option is what we are looking for

If all you need is a downloader app to play on another app, Symfonium is probably not the right app for the job.

For downloading a Playlist from plex to my media player, it’s the only option I’ve found.

I love symfonium to bits and I think hands down its probably one of the best (if not the best) media music player out there for what it provides. I can only speak for myself and there are some situations where I just want to immerse myself in the music. Plz do not take this as a criticism however symfonium is missing out on a parametric EQ settings. There are many use case scenarios for the end users (whether on the road or at home)

If you do not wish to implement for whatever reason that’s fine afterall you are the developer. I was just asking if this feature would be possible.

In anycase I am most grateful for all your time you invest & hardwork for making symfonium better with each new release!

And why not play in Symfonium since as you may know is a music player

And in all those years you of course made a feature request ?
