Audiobook keeps crashing after extended listening

Issue description:

I’m listening to audibooks from my Jellyfin server. However after 1-2 hours of listening, the app crashes. Sometimes I can tell this is about to happen because the audio will cut out for half a second then a couple of seconds later it will cut out again for a longer period of time. Then it will cut out, the app pauses, and then crashes.

There’s a memory issue, I’ve seen crash reports but was hoping someone to finally contact me.

Can you please upload the songs from the queue that triggers this to https://upload.symfonium.app and tell me when done so I can reproduce ? (Or give me access to your server in PM)

I can also see some network issues, do you use a proxy? You might want to check it’s logs it seems it cut streams after a long time.

I just uploaded one of my audiobooks, HWFwM2. And yes I have a reverse proxy behind a URL for when I’m off wifi, but figured if I duplicated my Jellyfin for local and remote configurations that it would duplicate the files on Symfonium (if that’s untrue please let me know). So instead I’m always using the url not the local IP as I leave the house and don’t want my audiobook to stop.

You can add a secondary IP in the provider to auto switch.

You probably want to check the proxy configuration and the timeouts, they are probably causing the connection drop (Probably unrelated to the crash, but better to avoid them if you ever transcoding such long audio books).

Please try the new beta.

Unfortunately it appears the play store says the beta is full and I can’t join.
