Android Auto Next Track Stopped Working Correctly On Wheel Controls

Issue description:

This issue has only started occurring in the last few weeks, previously to this all worked fine.

Using Symfonium in Android Auto if I press the “Next Track” button on the steering wheel of my car it acts like the “Previous Track” button; that is skip to start of track or if already at start skip to previous track. The "“Previous Track” button on the steering wheel works correctly (as expected).

Pressing the “Next Track” button on the car’s media touch screen instead works fine and selects the next track.

I can confirm the “Next Track” button is functioning correctly for all other car functions so the button itself is fine. Also the “Next Track” icon shows on the main car dash-board showing “Next Track” was selected from the steering wheel.

Version is up to date - 13.4.0 - 22 Sept 2025.

Logs are attached. I start by hitting Next Track on the media touch screen, this works, then previous track a couple of times and this also works. I then press the steering wheel Next Track button and this incorrectly takes me to the start of the same track, I press the steering wheel Next Track button twice quickly and this takes me to the previous track.

From the logs you have remapped the next function to previous  (Playback/Headset buttons)

OK weird - I’ve not mapped anything intentionally, is this something in Symfonium I have accidentally done? The “Next Track” button works as a “Next Track” button outside of the Symfonium app.

I just told you exactly what and where.

OK - I got it. Took me a while to find the settings - I didn’t even know you could remap the buttons on Symfonium :person_shrugging: But I’ll remember that. Thanks for the support.
