Ampache Sync not working anymore with Symphonium 15.0.1

Issue description

Sync with my ampache server (version 7.10.2) is not working anymore. Already synced items are still playable, but re-sync stops immediately after starting, without any error message within Symphonium. I reverted back to Symphonium 14.1.2, everything is working as expected there. (I am not sure about version 15.0.0). As soon as I update to 15.0.1 I face again the described issue.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install Symphonium 14.1.2
    2 Setup Ampache as media source (with compatibilty mode)
    3 Sync and play music
    4 Update to Symphonium 15.0.1
    5 Play music still working, sync stops immediately after start without doing anything.

As all duplicates update to 15.1.0 betas see changelog.

I think I got the same error as descriped. I also tried the newest beta release of Symphonium. Still not working anymore.

But I’m not quite sure if the problems started before or after my ampache upgrade. I’m using ampache 8.1.0 right now. I hope I can manage to gather some logs (from both sides) soon, to get a bit more into this.

TL;DR: memory_limit increasement in php.ini for the ampache server is needed

After investigating a bit deeper into my logs (ampache and symfhonium) I found out, that there are may 500 errors during sync process with “memory limit exceded” messages. So I just increased the memory limit in the php.ini of my ampache container and now the sync is working again.

I think this was after my switch from ampache 7.x to ampache 8.x So maybe there are some internal changes which wasnt respected in the php.ini?
