Feature description:
I would like to be able to play Symfonium and then also play a second app at the same time.
This is possible using Poweramp, where it is an on-by-default setting which pauses playback on permanent focus loss.
By disabling this you allow the app to keep running after focus is lost, which is good for giving a book or podcast it’s own soundtrack.
Problem solved:
This allows me to play soundtracks behind audiobooks and podcasts, as well as play music behind a full screen game or emulator
Brought benefits:
Most apps cannot do this, as it’s pretty niche. It is a good party favor trick and since permanent focus management is already a feature it wouldn’t take a lot of development effort
Other application solutions:
As mentioned, Poweramp does this already.
By default playback pauses when focus is permanently lost.
They have a simple toggle allowing the user to disable this behavior
Additional description and context:
attached is a screenshot of how Poweramp does it
