Album art randomly disappearing

Issue description

I use mp3tag and all of my files are local on my device. All of my albums looked normal last night. Upon logging in this morning, several batches of albums no longer have covers.

This has happened before, and I merely went through and added the art back via changing the local thumbnail, but I am unsure if that is a wise use of time if the same thing will happen with another batch of albums again.

The logs does not show any image loading attempt just a sync so it’s hard to tell a lot.

In the sync I see that Insomiac album have no external cover and no cover in the tags.

Did you manually set some custom covers ? Give more details.

I used mp3tag to add any covers that were missing, I will go back and make sure to see if that’s where the issue lies!

If the tools you use to synchronize does not change the file times you need to clear tag cache in the provider settings.
