Additional full width Lanscape option for the Now Playing screen

Feature description:

I would like to have an additional Landscape “Now Playing” screen that does not have the screen split into two columns, but instead has just one long screen to maximise the length and the controls (in particular the Volume and Waveform Sliders).

Problem solved:

I use my phone to play music in a fitness class in a stand for easy access. I have the phone in Landscape mode and select the Music from the SD Card in playlists. When using Symfonium, the default Landscape mode splits the screen into two (my default setting shows an image of the Album Cover on the Left of the screen). The problem with this is that the Volume and Waveform sliders are not maximising the whole length of the screen. When running a fitness class (or just with people with large fingers ), longer sliders are more important than Album Cover images, which don’t always serve much purpose other than eye candy. By having longer sliders, a user could control the volume easier and quicker and find key sections in the music tracks easier.

Brought benefits:

As for benefits, I’d be surprised if I’m the only fitness instructor using Symfonium, as trainers I know tend to use a mix of apps, each with its flaws. There are an estimated 64,400 fitness instructors in the UK, many of whom are searching for the ideal music player but always face some limitations. Symfonium feels the closest to perfect, especially with its casting feature for gym audio networks and customizations like adjusting the width of the volume slider. If just 10% of UK instructors were interested in a new music player, that could mean 6,400 new users, turning this feature into a strong selling point and not just a unique request.

Other application solutions:

An App called “Retro Music Player” (Upload 1) has a solution, but the waveform element doesn’t exist and the track length is just a long bar. When looking for a specific part of a song (Chorus) etc, the Waveforms of Symfonium would be way better. The top part of the screen in the screenshot is part of the album cover and still functions with Swipe Left/Right (Next and Previous tracks etc).

An App called "“Music Speed Changer” has the full screen width and long sliders (Upload 2), however they don’t have the music volume as an option.

An App called “GoneMAD Music Player” also has the full width for the seek slider (Upload 3) and shows a more discreet Album cover (still with slide left/right functionality), but again, no option for the music volume as a slider.

Next version will only use one column if there’s no content in the other one.
