Optimized Feature Request
Feature Description
Symfonium’s audiobook playback function is becoming increasingly sophisticated, but lacks precise control over the boundaries of drama playback. I suggest introducing a customizable start/end time skipping feature that allows users to define precise offsets for the start and end of each episode in the series
Example Use Cases
Skip the first 45 seconds of every episode in The Hobbit (typically introductory music or narration).
Skip the last 30 seconds of every episode in Sherlock Holmes (often closing credits or ambient sound effects).
Problem Solved
Many audiobook recordings include non-content audio segments—such as intros, outros, advertisements, or static transitions—that disrupt immersion. Automatically skipping these segments ensures listeners engage only with the core narrative, significantly improving focus and listening continuity.
Brought Benefits
Enhances user immersion by eliminating distracting audio padding.
Enables personalized listening experiences tailored to specific titles.
Increases perceived audio quality and professionalism of the player.
Reduces cognitive load by removing repetitive, irrelevant content.
