Ability to reposition the progress bar

Feature description:

Would it be possible to have an option to vertically reposition the progress bar in the Now Playing interface, while the cover art is not hidden?

Usually the progress bar stays right below the cover art. But when the cover art is hidden and the background style is set as “Album Art”, the buttons and the progress bar are at the bottom of the screen.

I am looking for the ability to reposition the progress bar to the bottom of the screen, alongside the buttons, when the cover art is displayed and the background style is set as a gradient.

Problem solved:

This is an aesthetic feature request.

Brought benefits:

With the progress bar and the buttons at the bottom of the screen, the interface looks less cluttered.

Also the clear space in the middle of the screen, especially in the Basic Screen Style, brings more attention to the cover art.

It also looks better when shared as a screenshot in Instagram stories.

This is NP style “Minimalistic” with the following changes made:

  • Row order: Progress bar moved down directly above Control button bar
  • Row vertical alignment: bottom
  • Control bar - Center in remaining space: off

Is that about what you are aiming for?

Of course this would need more fine tuning with the margins to look good, I only wanted to illustrate the basic settings to get the progress bar bottom-aligned with the controls. If you want the progress bar below the controls, just drag it one position further down in the row order.

I am sorry, to clarify further, because I might have misinterpreted your question: these are options available in the current beta version. If you are not in the beta program, you currently do not have these options, but they are coming soon to the general release.
