### Feature description

A toggle option in settings should be added to switch the search history searches, often partial, and replace them with a button for the song previously chosen itself.

### Problem solved

Makes the UI cleaner. (I’m not sure how to answer this, sorry)

### Brought benefits

Reduces clicks when re-searching, cleans up the UI.

### Other application solutions

Spotify does this I think

### Device type

Phone

Please clarify I have no idea what you are meaning. Search finds many other things than tracks.

Sorry for my poor explanation.

I mean that when you search and select an item, that item would show up in the history, instead of the search term.

I’ve made a mockup in paint.

Hi, the mockup above is exactly what I’d like: the search history showing the item I actually opened (song, album or artist) with its cover art, type and artist name, like Spotify’s “Recents”, instead of the partial text I typed. I often search with just a few letters (“patri”, “char”, “olivi”), so the current history doesn’t tell me what I opened. An optional toggle in settings would be perfect so everyone can keep the text version if they prefer. Thanks!

@Tolriq can you provide an update? I understand that other things may be more pressing, but a simple planned or not would be really helpful. Thanks.

So what ? You prefer that I directly close as won’t implement to solve your need for fast decision ?

No, I’d prefer if you worked with me to triage the feature request and decide if it should be implemented or not.

And that’s what the current tag says … Can you stop now ?
It’s either waiting for decision or decided. So again if you want fast decision I can just refuse this or you patiently wait …
