24/96 FLAC stutters on pixel 8 an 9

Feature description:

works only setting to Limit maximum output sample rate to 48kHz. I wish on Android 16 to perform up to 96 or eve 128kHz

Problem solved:

play flawless 24 bit 96khz

Brought benefits:

only my cat would eventually hear the difference vs 16/48 and with a good DAC and my sanity due to satisfaction for creating such a great FLAC hi res , space hungry library on latest Navidrome Sonic server

You are probably playing on BT devices with adaptive BT codec that can’t properly handle such bandwidth, this is not really Symfonium related but your setup.

Thanx for quick reply, it’s not BT i’ve tested several USB DAC to headphones , it worked on a RealMe older phone, it may be due to Tensor processor in Google Pixel which i doubt as long as i’ve seen searching in the history of issues kind of similar issues but in different context with Pixel phones

Any news on this , what do you know is it about Pixel tensor processor or another reason, about Android 16 libraries for Pixel which could not handle higher bit depth and sampling ?!

I have no such issue on my p8pro and p10 so hard tell more than the same open a …issue with logs and details ;/

I have sent from Symfonium the log under my user , shall i do something else ?

for testing purpose on the same Pixel 8pro and also on another 9pro i did test Neutron music player properly configured and with DAC FIIO wich showed 24/96 activated and did not encounter the ante mentioned issue.

As said open an issue not a feature request to give the necessary details.

From a quick look at the logs, you might want to disable the Android DSP first.

i did disable Android DSP and worked !!, Enabled back and worked !! Many thanx. Shall i open a ticket so that it may be useful for others or it’s ok to close this.
